Lee-Fendall House Hosts Candlelight Tours, Holiday Vendors Return to Sunday Markets

Alexandria, VA – In the midst of holiday season, Old Town North is getting into the spirit with Holiday Markets in the European Tradition, a family friendly event in celebration of the Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade on the Waterfront presented by the Old Town North Alliance in partnership with the Old Town North Community Partnership and the Canal Center, and a Victorian Christmas at the Lee-Fendall House Museum and Garden.

The Lee-Fendall House Museum and Garden will share the delights of Christmas past with A Victorian Christmas on Saturday, December 10th and Candlelight Tours on December 3rd, 10th, and 17th

The Old Town North Community Partnership will be helping neighbors in need with the annual Salvation Army Share the Warmth Campaign. Gently worn or new coats may be dropped off at the Sunday Holiday Markets through December 14th. Coats will be taken to campaign supporter Burke and Herbert Bank and Trust for pick up by the Salvation Army staff. Coats may also be dropped off at any Burke and Herbert Bank branch during normal business hours.

The Holiday Markets at the Old Town North Sunday Farmers’ Market will include both regular market vendors and new vendors selling holiday gifts and specialty items.

Ellen Hamilton returns to the Holiday Markets with festive hand crafted items. If you miss the market, Ellen’s goods can be found at Made in ALX (533 Montgomery St.) and at the Canal Center Art Mart in celebration of the Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade.

Stay warm while shopping by sipping hot tea from local vendor BB Tea & Boutique and stock up on mulling spices for ciders and wine .

Other vendors at the Holiday Markets will include photographer Kim Pezeshki, whose work was recently seen and sold at Art on the Avenue, Unto Thee Candles, and many more gifted crafters and artisans.
