Alexandria, VA – Alexandria Living Legend Jason Yates recently gifted Lucelle O’Flaherty with a major makeover of her 2000 Toyota Solara, which she had purchased new from Jack Taylor’s Toyota. Why, you might ask? Well, the car needed an intervention.  It has missing paint and dings and it was a chance to show off what the Yates Collision and Auto Body team could do. You see, Lucelle is a retired banker, but she found a new career about five years ago as a community photographer, tirelessly donating her time and energy to capture events from sunrise to midnight in Alexandria. She is an unpaid community photographer, doing it all out of the goodness of her charitable heart. As Jason said, “I just wanted to do something special for her after all the wonderful things she has done for Alexandria.” When Lucelle saw her snappy little convertible after the Yates team fixed all the dents, stripped the paint and applied a new, candy apple red to mimic the original color, she was almost speechless. “My car, my car, it’s beautiful,” she said with tears in her eyes. It just happened to also be her birthday.

[Editor’s Note: Zebra filmed the entire makeover and is releasing a short film by Capital Cinema in mid-October. Look for it online at thezebra.org and The Zebra’s social media platforms.]
