ALEXANDRIA, VA – Sign up here to run in the 10th Annual George Washington Patriot Run, a premier running event on the historic George Washington Memorial Parkway. Choose between a 10-miler or a 5K and experience a scenic course that finishes in front of George Washington’s iconic Mount Vernon Mansion.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, this event offers a memorable experience for all.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

  • Date: Sunday, September 7, 2025
  • 10-Miler Start Time: 7:15 a.m.
  • 5K Start Time: 7:30 a.m.
  • Course: Both lanes of a 5-mile stretch of the George Washington Parkway from GW Parkway Circle to W. Boulevard Drive
  • All participants receive a commemorative George Washington Patriot Run technical t-shirt and a stunning finisher medal featuring an engraved bust of George Washington

Jane Collins

Jane Hess Collins is a communications consultant and coach, and holds a masters’ degree in Public Relations & Corporate Communications from Georgetown University. She is the founder and executive director of Heard, an Alexandria-based nonprofit that teaches life skills disguised as art to underserved populations. She retired from the United States Air Force in 2009.
