Alexandria, VA – It’s that time again! Organizers of The Alexandria Film Festival are accepting submissions for this year’s event. It will take place over four days this fall – November 12-15 – at AMC Hoffman Center.

In existence for 14 years, the festival showcases “exceptional” short and feature-length films by independent filmmakers. Q&A sessions follow screenings, along with related presentations. A unique part of the festival is that as much as the audience enjoys communicating with filmmakers, the filmmakers themselves are charmed by this city and the passion its citizens have for film.

Organizers have provided a list with a variety of subjects that will help those interested in entering narrow their focus. Topics include: animation; comedy and satire; the arts, including music and painting; and films for children. For the complete list, click HERE.

A panel will select films for festival screening once submissions have been received in accordance with the various deadlines. For all deadlines and rules, click HERE. The winner of the top prize, Best in Show, will receive $300!

AMC Hoffman Center is located at 206 Swamp Fox Road.
