About Me

Hey there, I’m Bruno — a handsome five-year-old gentleman with a white coat, adorable brown patches and some seriously floppy ears. I weigh about 43 pounds, which is basically the perfect size for couch cuddles and outdoor adventures.

I’ll admit it — I can be a little shy when we first meet. But give me a little patience and a gentle approach, and you’ll quickly discover I’m a total sweetheart. Once I trust you, I’m all about love, loyalty and sticking by your side.

I’ve lived with children of different ages before and have been told I have pretty great house manners. I’m even crate trained! I also love staying active and would be thrilled to join someone who enjoys walks, games and fun adventures.

My favorite hobbies include:

  • Playing fetch
  • Tug-of-war championships
  • Chasing tennis balls outside
  • Sniffing literally everything on walks
  • Collecting cuddles whenever possible

Best of all? Thanks to a generous donor, my adoption fee has already been paid!

Ideal Match

I’m searching for someone who wants a loyal best friend and understands that shy dogs sometimes just need a little extra love at the beginning.

My perfect match would:

  • Enjoy walks and playtime
  • Have room in their heart for a sweet, sensitive guy
  • Appreciate both adventure and snuggle time
  • Be willing to let me settle in at my own pace

I’ve lived with other dogs before, but I’d love a meet-and-greet with any future canine siblings first to make sure we’ll be best buds.

Fun Fact

My nose is basically a built-in adventure detector. Every walk turns into a full-on sniffari expedition, and I take my job very seriously.

My adoption fees are paid and I will be spayed or neutered before you take me home. To learn more about me or meet me, contact the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria by emailing [email protected] or call 703-746-4774, option 2.
