Nationals pitcher Miles Mikolas celebrates 10 years in the big leagues at Landini Brothers

Alexandria, VA – Washington Nationals pitcher Miles Mikolas marked a major career milestone with a surprise celebration at Landini Brothers in Old Town Alexandria: 10 years of Major League service.
After a Sunday Nationals game, Mikolas arrived at the King Street restaurant to find family and friends gathered by his wife, Lauren, to celebrate the journey that has taken him from the San Diego Padres and Texas Rangers to Japan’s Yomiuri Giants, the St. Louis Cardinals and now Washington.
The party included family photographs, custom baseball cookies and a special floral tribute by Alexandria’s Atelier Ashley Flowers. Owner Ashley Greer created five bouquets, each reflecting the colors of one of the teams Mikolas has played for—from Padres brown and yellow to Nationals red, white and blue.
It was a warm Old Town celebration for a player whose decade in the majors represents a rare achievement—and plenty of hard work, perseverance and hometown-style appreciation.
