Families Invited to FREE “Decorate a Seat” Event for World Toilet Day

ALEXANDRIA, VA–Alexandria Renew and the Mobile Art Lab are joining forces, creating a super fun, family event to recognize “World Toilet Day.” Each family or pair gets one seat to decorate, and the action all takes place Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in the lobby of the ultra-modern, glass lobby of Alexandria Renew Enterprises at 1800 Limerick Street (off Eisenhower).

World Toilet Day is a real thing, because it is a major global problem. As their site says, “When nature calls, we need a toilet. But billions of people don’t have one.” It means raw sewage is contaminating soil and water supplies on a massive scale. World Toilet Day, celebrated on 19th November, is about getting involved to ensure that everyone has a safe toilet by 2030.

Supplies are limited, so please RSVP to Kayla Yingst at [email protected] to secure your SEAT!!
