Alexandria’s Family Volunteer Day is November 21st

Alexandria, VA – Family Volunteer Day is November 21st. Volunteering together as a family has many benefits. Working side by side provides opportunities for a shared experience, connection, and conversation, and family members get to see each other in a new light. Volunteering also cultivates empathy, encourages kindness and gratitude, and shows even the youngest child how a small positive act can make a big difference.

Every year, Volunteer Alexandria implements a Family Volunteer Day to engage families in service and help other families in need.  They are asking families to join us through our ASCEND program to make reusable bags and clean up a park!

All families are welcome to volunteer together, grandparents, parents, guardians, foster parents, older siblings, aunts/uncles/bigs, etc are all welcome to volunteer with the children or youth in their lives. We are excited to let you know that Winks Photo Booth will be onsite to take photos of our volunteers!
