Pet Libro Automatic Pet Food Feeder Helped Keep My Dog on a Diet

Alexandria, VA – If you are a pet owner, you have probably tried all sorts of gadgets. I know I have.  Well, here’s a cool, updated automatic pet feeder that you may really like, especially if you have a cat or very small dog.

The model I tried holds a little over a pound of food, and you can customize meal times and portions.  I tried it out on my two little dogs, who are both under twenty pounds, and it worked beautifully. Unlike the gravity-fed feeders, the portion control feature meant food did not continually fill the bowl as they ate it.  In other words, my little Teddy, who can be a “chow can” could not have an all-day buffet.

You can set it to dispense food up to four times a day, and it is quick and easy to use. The LCD screen offers options to consider the pet’s age, weight and activity is you wonder how much you should feed.  There is also a manual feeding function if you want to dispense food between scheduled times.

Also great is that the food is stored in an air-tight container to keep it fresh, and get this, you can record a 10-second voice message that will play twice when the food is dispensed. So, if you are at work or away from the house, your dog or cat will might be comforted by hearing your familiar call to eat. Or, like mine, they might just roll their eyes and wonder why we bother with silly pre-recorded messages when they clearly can see we are not home.

In any case, I think this is a great feeder, especially if you have cats or very small dogs.  You just plug it in (you can also insert three D  batteries so it works even when the power goes out), fill it with food, record your message, and as they say, “set it and forget it.”
