ALEXANDRIA, VA-The Art League at 105 N. Union St. is featuring a new exhibit, focusing on landscape art. “Landscape” is on view until July 3. At more than 100 pieces, it features paintings, drawings, glasswork. The styles on display are abstract and representational.

Solo Show
This month’s solo show at The Art League is “Perspectives,” Abol Bahadori’s series of abstract paintings inspired by the rediscovery of the perspective grid among Renaissance artists.
Bahadori uses trapezoids and triangles generated by 3D grids as abstract planes to showcase colors to prismatic effect. He further enhances some of his compositions with realistic figures and illustrations—humans, animals, insects— that break the symmetry and change the focal point.
He will participate in a virtual discussion about “Perspectives” and his artistry on Wednesday, June 16, from 6 – 7 p.m. EDT. Register HERE.
