Conquering Fear to Conquer Homelessness
Alexandria, VA – Nearly 80 people, many of them freely admitting to being nervous, conquered their fear and rappelled down a 14-story building in Crystal City on May 5 and 6, raising over $225,000 to fight homelessness in Northern Virginia. “Over the Edge” was a hugely successful fundraiser for Mount Vernon-based New Hope Housing, which partnered with Keller Williams MetroCenter to produce the event. NHH relies on fundraising and private donations to meet its shelter and housing program needs. If you can help, go to www.newhopehousing.org/get-involved/donate/online-donations/
