Alexandria Transit Company Taking Submissions for DASHing Words in Motion Contest

Interested writers, 16 years and older, must enter by Jan. 27, 2023

ALEXANDRIA, VA – Want to introduce the public to your poetry? Here’s a good way. The Alexandria Transit Company is looking for entries for their ninth annual DASHing Words in Motion poetry contest.

An Alexandria eNews bulletin says the contest “will bring recognition to writers, promotes an appreciation of poetry as an art form, and provides inspiration to individuals using the Alexandria Transit Company’s DASH Buses and Trolleys.”

DASHing Words in Motion is open to writers 16 years and older who live and work in Alexandria. The submission deadline is Friday, Jan. 27, 2023. Submit your work HERE.

Writers whose work is selected will not be reimbursed for its use.
