Alexandria’s Westminster Presbyterian Church Offers $5K Grant to Aid Nonprofits

ALEXANDRIA, VA -Churches in Alexandria are known for their support of the surrounding community. For the last 12 years, Westminster Presbyterian Church has sponsored a grant program designed to help children and provide assistance in the areas of education, hunger and health, shelter, and self-sufficiency.

Past grants have all been awarded to local nonprofits that meet these needs. To date, 60 grants totaling $250,000 have been presented. Though grant amounts differ based on needs and funds, the expected grant amount for this year is $5,000.

According to a press release, “Grants are intended for use by an organization on a single, non-recurring initiative.”
