Senior Services of Alexandria’s (SSA) November Speaker Series will focus on safety for older adults. With a growing number of older adults living independently, it’s increasingly important to make sure that they’re safe at home. This program will feature local experts in health, wellness, and home safety to help you stay balanced and confident!
Topics include talking to your medical professional about your general overall health; taking your medications properly to avoid potential health issues; making your home safe and accessible; preventing falls; and getting support and rehabilitation if you do fall.
Speakers include Vivek P. Sinha, MD; Sara Pappa with the Northern Virginia Falls Prevention Alliance; Andy Jackson, Reliant Rehabilitation at Woodbine Rehab and Healthcare; and Peter Crouch, Crouch Realty Group, Corcoran McEnearney.
