ALEXANDRIA, VA – Alexandria coaching legend Kathy Jenkins added another remarkable chapter to her storied career today, earning her 900th win as her St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes girls varsity lacrosse team defeated Holy Child at the Upper School Moss Football Field.

”I didn’t want the girls thinking about the number the win would be,” Jenkins said about today’s game.

The milestone comes during Jenkins’ 50th season leading Saints girls lacrosse—further cementing her status as the winningest girls high school lacrosse coach in the nation.

Named one of the “Greatest coaches of all time in high school sports,” Jenkins has been a national leader in girls’ athletics for more than five decades. She joined the faculty at St. Agnes School in 1971—the year before Title IX—and co-founded the girls’ lacrosse program in 1976. Over 52 years, she has built one of the most successful programs in the country.

Beyond her record-setting wins, Jenkins has played a pivotal role in growing the sport, working with schools and organizations throughout the Virginia-Maryland-Washington, D.C. region and across the country. Her impact extends far beyond the field through decades of mentoring, clinics, camps, and leadership.

The St. Stephens & St. Agnes Saints Girls Lacrosse team is currently ranked 10th in the nation and number one in Virginia.

Today’s 900th win is not just a milestone—it’s a testament to a lifetime of dedication, excellence, and influence in the game.

Jenkins told Zebra moments after the win, “It doesn’t feel like 900. I guess I have some more in me.”
