Swing to Bust Cancer Brings Community Together at Belle Haven Country Club

Alexandria, VA – More than 200 golfers, tennis players, sponsors, volunteers, donors, survivors, and friends gathered at Belle Haven Country Club last month for the annual Swing to Bust Cancer tournament — a day dedicated to advancing access to breast cancer care and support throughout our community.
This year’s event was a meaningful success, raising critical support for breast cancer screening, diagnostic care, follow-up services, and patient navigation for individuals who may otherwise face financial, logistical, or systemic barriers to care.

“Early detection saves lives, but access makes early detection possible,” shared Martha Carucci, Executive Director of the Breast Cancer Collective. “Swing to Bust Cancer is more than a golf and tennis tournament. It is a day when our community comes together around a shared belief: surviving breast cancer must not depend on income, insurance status, language, or ZIP code.”
Participants enjoyed a spirited day of golf and tennis while supporting programs that help remove barriers to lifesaving care. Organizers expressed gratitude to every sponsor, player, volunteer, and donor whose generosity continues to make this work possible.
