Alexandria Library Patrons Given Remote Access to Academic Journals
Access to JSTOR is free and lasts until June 30
Alexandria, VA – Remote learning is now a lot easier! Alexandria Library announced that starting today it is offering JSTOR access to all patrons. With a library card, access is free until June 30.
“There has been constant demand for the service for many years,” said the library’s executive director, Rose T. Dawson. “Many of the JSTOR titles supplement requests from city leadership and management teams and enhance our role as an educational institution for the community per our Five-Year Plan.”
JSTOR is a not-for-profit organization established with the assistance of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. It provides access to more than 12 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines. Alexandria Library users have access to the JSTOR Public Library I collection.
Before today, JSTOR was only available inside Alexandria Library’s six branches.
