– The City of Alexandria’s Department of Transportation and Environmental Services (T&ES) continues its ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the city’s transportation infrastructure. Crews will conduct repaving, patching, sidewalk, and alley work across Alexandria from April 27 through May 1.

These improvements support safe travel for pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and all who use Alexandria’s streets – over 561 lane miles of road.

What Residents and Businesses Should Know

Residents and businesses on streets scheduled for repaving will receive advance notice through posted project signs and/or mailed letters. Temporary “No Parking” signs will also be placed prior to work beginning.

Please follow all posted signage to avoid tickets or towing during construction periods.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment availability, coordination with utility work, and other city projects.
