$100 for Every Caps Goal Goes to Rebuilding Together DC-Alexandria!
The new NHL season is underway, and Burke & Herbert Bank is on board and excited about cheering on the Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals – and supporting affordable housing!
For every Capitals goal scored during the 2018-19 regular season, Burke & Herbert Bank is donating $100 to Rebuilding Together DC · Alexandria. Plus, for every game during which the Capitals score a hat trick (three goals by one player), the Bank will add another $100! With 34 goals already scored at print time in this young season, the Caps have already generated $3,400 for Rebuilding Together.
Rebuilding Together DC · Alexandria is a non-profit organization that rebuilds and rehabilitates homes for those in need, improves common spaces and schools in low-income neighborhoods, and creates affordable housing in Alexandria and the District of Columbia.
The “Burke & Herbert Bank Hundreds for Homes” program marks the fourth year in a row that Burke & Herbert Bank has teamed up with NBC Sports Washington to leverage the excitement of the hockey season and the enthusiasm of Capitals on-air announcers Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin to help a deserving local non-profit organization and raise awareness about an important cause.
Since the start of the 2015 hockey season, thanks to the impressive on-ice performance of the high-scoring Washington Capitals, the Bank has donated more than $25,000 each to Most Valuable Kids Inc. (2016), Alice’s Kids, Inc. (2017), and Connect our Kids (2018).
