Alexandria’s Galactic Panther Hosting Networking Event Jan. 18

ALEXANDRIA, VA- The Galactic Panther Art Gallery (1303 King St.) is hosting a networking event tomorrow (Jan. 18). The idea is to “foster creative and social connections,” according to a press release.

Scheduled to start at 7 p.m., the event will feature an “Art, Reggae & Wine experience,” the release reads. “Guests can unleash their creativity while enjoying a delightful glass of wine.”

Vinyl DJ Jah Messenger Sound will provide the perfect ambiance for the night, spinning original accoustic music, soul, reggae, and R&B.

Galactic Panther is also hosting the exhibit, WONDER WOMEN: An International Exhibit of Artwork by Women through until Feb. 15. The exhibit opened Dec. 9.

Upcoming events at the gallery include: comedy, live music, poetry and reggae open mic every other Thursday,  improv the second Saturday of each month, open mic every Sunday, earring workshops, and tea and coffee workshops.

Since it opened in Sept, 2021, Galactic Panther has donated a potion from sales of art to help Alexandria nonprofits that provide food to individuals and families in need.

The gallery is open Thursday and Friday, noon-6 pm; Saturday, 9 am-7 pm; Sunday, noon-7 pm; and by appointment. Follow on Facebook, Instagram, and Eventbrite.
