Stay Active by Taking an Online Art Class With the Art League

Alexandria, VA – Looking for something to do as you spend your days at home? Are you a creative person searching for an outlet? Well, you are in luck. The Art League just announced it is offering new online classes!

Here is the best part. If you are a furloughed or front line worker and want to participate, there are scholarships available! The courses include drawing and stitching. And there are new classes added constantly. Students can join their classes on Zoom and consult teachers using Google Classroom. You can buy supplies during registration.

“Our online courses give people a chance to try something new at home, and allows students to touch base with their creative community during an isolating time,” says Kathi Cohen, the director of the Art League School. “People outside of our immediate area who may want to take a class or two while sheltering in place are welcome.”

Founded in 1954, The Art League, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, is among the nation’s largest and oldest multi-service organizations for visual artists.
