ALEXANDRIA, VA-Do you love the art of storytelling?  Story Extreme, based in Bowie, MD., is coming to Murphy’s Grand Irish Pub (713 King St.) for a live show on Monday night (Feb. 12) and a second at Galactic Panther Art Gallery (1303 King St.) on Wednesday night (Feb. 14).

“At Story Extreme,” Director Stephanie Garibaldi says,”we help folks take their true-life stories to the extreme by providing free, expert coaching to everyone who steps up on our stage. If you too want to get in on the storytelling fun, take a look at Story Extreme’s upcoming themes on our website, find one you like and pitch away. Anyone can pitch—no experience required.”

Story Extreme is still new, having performed their 13th show last month, and Murphy’s will be a regular stop. Shows will be held on the second or Monday of every month. The upcoming show – Bringing Sexy Back: Stories@ Rediscovering Your Groove, Setting New Trends,& Keeping the Spark Alive – will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Hear eight stories and see the debuts of Tabbie Mann and John Escobar.

“Some stories featured on our stage are wildly funny,” Garibaldi says, “others are moving and thought-provoking, and all are well told from the teller’s own unique voice, plus all are absolutely true.”

It will be an entertaining night. Tickets are $15 HERE and $20 at the door. Seating begins at 6 p.m.

Two night’s later on Valentine’s Day, Story Extreme’s troupe will perform a second show at Galactic Panther Art Gallery. That show, Stupid Cupid: Stories @ Dating, Relationships, & All the Joy and Heartache Between, will run from 7 to 9.p.m. The website includes the following description, which reads, in part: This Valentine’s Day, do something different with universal appeal. Our Stupid Cupid show is guaranteed to entertain you while making you feel better about your own love life, whether you’re single or all booed up.” Tickets are the same price as the previous show’s and can be purchased HERE.
