April 28 is Alexandria Love Your Pet Day!

Grab the Dogs and Family for Alexandria Love Your Pet Day!

It was only two years ago that the Mayor and City Council declared the first Alexandria Love Your Pet Day, but you’d think this annual block party had been going on for decades. Imagine a few blocks sectioned off for just families, dogs and incredible vendors and entertainment, along with free parking, and you have your dream pet-loving celebration.

This year it is all happening again Sunday, April 28 from 11 am to 3 pm at Roth and Colvin Streets (right off of Duke) with over 45 vendors, food trucks, and nonprofits hoping to break last year’s record 600 attendees.

Bring the dogs (please no retractable flexi leashes), and park for free in the Bishop Ireton HS lower parking lot located across from the event (other side of Duke Street). At press time, organizers told Zebra that sponsorship opportunities are still available. If interested and for more information in general, visit alexandrialoveyourpetday.com.
