Publisher's Note

Publisher’s Notes: September 2015

Summer is over, and with that comes a new season of our favorite tv shows, kids getting dressed up for their first days back at school, and an eye for the coming of crisper days, turning leaves, and cherished holidays.

In this issue, we celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of an Alexandria couple maneuvering their livelihood through mazes of government obstacles, we give you dozens of highlights in the local foodie landscape, and share the triumphs and notable happenings within our community and its schools.

Please enjoy the read and look for our October issue to give you a quick election rundown when we bring you a special section called, The Candidates: In Their Own Words.  Until then, we urge you always to send us your thoughts, criticisms and suggestions.
