Alexandria, VA-First grade students at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School built their very own town! They’ve been learning all year about communities—how they are planned, what makes them different, how they change over time, and the occupations and businesses that make them work. The culminating activity is the Town Fair, where parents, teachers, and classmates visit as first graders operate the various businesses like a bank, veterinarian clinic, government center, movie theater, and a chapel.
