Alexandria, VA – It is that time of year, when the City of Alexandria’s Successful Aging Committee honors those residents who are 100 or older, or will reach that magic number sometime this year. The event is taking place at City Hall on Tuesday, September 9, 5-6 pm at City Hall (301 King Street) in the Vola Lawson Lobby.
It is a special celebration, and we want to make sure we honor all our residents who have or will achieve this significant milestone in their lives. If you are a Centenarian or know of one, please complete the registration form online at www.seniorservicesalex.org, and click on “Celebrating our Centenarians!” to find more information and the registration form. Register Now for the Fall Senior Academy
Session Begins Wednesday, September 3
Senior Services of Alexandria is hosting the Senior Academy Fall session during the month of September. The first session begins at City Hall on Wednesday, September 3 at 10 am. It will run every Wednesday morning in September. The 4-week class is for older adults 60+ to learn how the city operates, what programs and services are available for seniors in the City of Alexandria, and how to become engaged in the community.
