ROAD WORK AHEAD: Portion of King Street to Be Repaved Starting July 27

ALEXANDRIA, VA – The City of Alexandria announced this afternoon that a stretch of King Street is scheduled for repaving starting this coming Monday. The work is expected to continue until Friday, July 31.

The location is between South 28th Street and South 25th Street. Crews will be on the scene from 8 p.m to 5 a.m. weather permitting. The overnight schedule is to accommodate for the volume of traffic in that area.

Vehicles may be redirected during work hours. The city asks residents to observe signage. Roads will reopen at the end of each shift.
