Chamber ALX Announces Second Annual “40 Over 40” Honorees Celebrating Alexandria Leadership

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Chamber ALX has officially unveiled its second annual “40 Over 40” class, recognizing 40 accomplished Alexandria-area professionals whose leadership, innovation, mentorship, and community impact continue to shape the city long after age 40.
The growing awards program highlights experienced leaders across business, nonprofit organizations, education, government, hospitality, finance, health care, and civic life — celebrating those who continue redefining success and influence in Alexandria.
“We are thrilled to celebrate these accomplished professionals who are shattering expectations, redefining success, and demonstrating impact, innovation, and leadership,” The Chamber ALX announced in its release.
The honorees will be recognized during the 2026 40 Over 40 Awards Celebration, presented by United Bank, on Aug. 13. Chamber officials say the event will spotlight leaders whose work continues to strengthen Alexandria’s business community and civic culture.
The recognition program follows the success of the Chamber’s longtime “40 Under 40” initiative, which launched in 2016 and has become one of Alexandria’s best-known professional honors for emerging leaders. The newer “40 Over 40” awards were introduced last year to celebrate seasoned professionals and community builders whose influence continues growing throughout their careers.
The Chamber ALX, formerly known as the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, hosts more than 40 events annually and describes its mission as supporting businesses while cultivating community throughout Alexandria.
This year’s honorees include nonprofit executives, restaurateurs, educators, entrepreneurs, civic advocates, financial leaders, and longtime Alexandria business figures representing organizations deeply woven into the city’s civic fabric.
