Fall Fest Debuts Honoring Heroes at Greenstreet Gardens This Weekend

Lothian, MD – Greenstreet Gardens kicks off its annual Fall Fest this weekend with a special bonus: All heroes get in free.

“Members of the military, teachers, doctors and nurses, and of course our first responders – we’re honoring all of our heroes with free admission this weekend,” said owner Ray Greenstreet. In fact, select firefighters and police officers will be on site this weekend.

Anne Arundel County Fire Dept. Public Education Specialist Dan Scotten added, “We’ll have units filtering in and out. We’re handing out safety information for families regarding escape plans and smoke alarms, and we have coloring books and fire hats for the kids. So bring the family out!”

Greenstreet agreed. “We want folks to come on out, thank these heroes, and enjoy all the fun that Fall Fest has to offer. It’s a great opportunity to get out of the city. We have plenty of outdoor space here – you’ll never feel crowded. Everyone can get their 30,000 steps in. Bring the kids out for a fun day – we’ll send them home tired and dirty.”

Fall Fest runs through Sunday, October 31. Highlights include a five-acre corn maze, hayrides, cow train, pumpkin patch, tire tower, corn pit, jumping pillow, woodlands, and more. Grab some animal treats and feed the animals, get your face and hair painted. The Local Ruritan Club will be selling fresh grilled food for lunch, and Greenspring Brewing will be offering select beer on tap for purchase as well.

Every weekend has a theme, such as Grandparents Weekend, SPCA Adoption, Flashlight Maze, and Pumpkin Princess. Visit the Greenstreet Gardens website for tickets and more information on weekend specials.
