Grant Opportunity to Address Energy Concerns Available to Alexandria’s Nonprofits
ALEXANDRIA, VA – A new grant opportunity is open to local businesses. The grant is meant to help nonprofits that want to improve improve energy efficiency in their buildings.
To qualify, those interested must be active nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that own real estate in Alexandria. Applications must be filed by August 3 at 5 p.m. The Office of Climate Action is offering assistance to applicants. To learn more about the application process, contact [email protected].
An Alexandria eNews bulletin says the U.S. Department of Energy is investing nearly $45 million in energy-efficient projects for nonprofits. The program is called Renew America’s Nonprofits.
Funds can be used to reduce emissions, save energy, and lower utility costs.
