Alexandria, VA – Lights, camera, action! Alexandria’s stars are not just its historical landmarks and bustling streets but also the community’s efforts to make this city a sight to behold. After weeks of anticipation, the 2024 Alexandria Beautification Awards winners have finally been revealed for Architecture, Community, and Commercial, and they are dazzling!

Architecture Winners

Architectural design is the backbone of Alexandria’s visual identity, blending historical charm with contemporary vision. This award recognizes projects that harmoniously integrate with their surroundings, whether through adaptive reuse of historic buildings or cutting-edge new constructions. Hats off to the West Alexandria winner for their exceptional architectural prowess! The Winners are:

East: United States Patent and Trademark Headquarters, 600 Dulany Street

Central: Potomac Yard–VT Station South Pavilion, 3001 Potomac Avenue

West: Douglas MacArthur Elementary School, 1101 Janneys Lane

Commercial Winners
