TWIG Donates Over $125K to INOVA Alexandria Hospital at Annual Luncheon

Twig President Pamela Rinn presents $125,000 check to Susan T. Carroll, Regional Executive Officer, Eastern Region to support Inova Alexandria Hospital at The Twig Annual Luncheon yesterday held at Belle Haven Country Club. An additional $4,500 check was given to the hospital to support the Magnet Nursing Program. The Twig has given $4 million dollars to the hospital for a variety of projects including a current $1 million pledge to renovate the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The Twig, the Junior Auxiliary of Inova Alexandria Hospital, is an organization of women dedicated to providing financial aid, volunteer service and support to Inova Alexandria Hospital. Since its founding in 1933, The Twig has donated over $3.8 million dollars to the hospital for a variety of projects including a current $1 million pledge for renovating the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) with infrastructure upgrades, state-of-the-art clinical space, private patient rooms and dedicated space for families, patients and caregivers. Every year since 2008, a $5,000 – $10,000 Nursing Scholarship has been awarded to a member of the Inova Alexandria Hospital staff who is committed to advancement in a nursing career.
