Alexandria, VA – If you haven’t heard, Taqueria Poblano is now open on Tuesdays. After 25 years, their fans finally prevailed. Don’t expect a Taco Tuesday special right now, but watch for possible offerings in the spring. In the meantime, enjoy some of the best Mexican style tamales around town, not to mention great enchiladas with chocolate mole. Wash it down with a great margarita!
Rumors abound as to what will follow Joy on the Avenue. It would be impossible to top the Taylor Swift ERAS pop-up, but the Zebra has heard that a Dive Bar will be making an appearance in the space. Renovations are beginning with an expected opening by the end of February.
FlavorHive, the food truck “empire,” is working on opening its storefront at Montrose and Rt. 1, at 3314 Richmond Highway. The website indicates that the storefront is under construction. The food truck, which offers delicious bowls, wraps, and more, is no longer parked at the site. No other information is available at this time. Let’s hope they’ll be ready to open soon.
