Browne Academy Students Experience Shakespeare

ALEXANDRIA, VA – At Browne Academy, Danielle Gerber’s 7th grade English students recently read A Midsummer Night’s Dream. A number of 7th graders and their families met Mrs. Gerber to take in The American Shakespeare Center’s production of the play.

As a special treat, Browne students were able to sit up on the stage where they could interact with the performers. Actors from the company then hosted a workshop for the entire 7th grade at Browne where students learned more about the performance of Shakespeare’s plays and techniques on how to bring the characters to life.
