After 25 Years in Alexandria, Thai Peppers Says Farewell to Del Ray

A Del Ray Institution Prepares to Close as Thai Peppers Family Retires

Thai Peppers Del Ray ClosingAlexandria, VA – Thai Peppers is getting ready to close its doors in Alexandria for the last time on June 15. The venerable and well loved restaurant has stood the test of time for over 25 years.

The family posted the following message on Instagram today.

With heavy hearts we wanted to inform you that after over 25 years, it’s time for us to say goodbye to our Alexandria-Del Ray location😔

Since 1998, Thai Peppers Alexandria has been more than just a restaurant, it’s been family dinners, first dates, celebrations, comfort meals, and memories shared with generations of our community.

As bittersweet as this moment is, the “elders” of our family has decided it’s finally time to retire, to hopefully relax on a beach in Phuket sipping singhas and Mai Tais🏖️🍹

Our final day serving Alexandria will be June 15th 2026

While this location is closing, Thai Peppers is NOT going anywhere. Our story is far from over! The baton has proudly been passed down to the second and third generations, at our Bristow and Haymarket locations. Same Family.  Familiar recipes. Always love poured into every dish.

To every customer who supported us over the years, thank you. Thank you for keeping us going, Thank you for welcoming us into this community and allowing us to be part of your lives for over two decades. Del Ray has been a huge part of our family’s legacy and without YOU there wouldn’t be Thai Peppers. We’ll always be grateful for the memories we have made together.

With love,
❤️ The Thai Peppers Family 🌶️♥️
