Alexandria, VA – A food truck for dogs? Yup, and not a truck that rolls up and hands out kibble. Woofbowl serves up treats like burgers, fries, and pho across the DMV! Your dog will never know how healthy they are.

Woofbowl frequently pulls up to Del Ray’s Saturday Farmers Market. You can also find Woofbowl at rescue events and dog friendly pop-ups around the area. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram for their current schedule and list of events.

Ron Holloway is a Navy veteran and author who, along with his biochemical engineer wife Solo, never expected to become a food truck owner, much less to create the DC area’s first food truck for dogs. It came about because after Ron left the military, he read that dogs were one of the best ways to combat symptoms of his PTSD. In short order, the couple acquired two French Bulldogs, Latto and Dino.

Always health conscious, Solo instinctively knew that dry kibble was not what her dogs should be eating, so she began creating healthy meals for them. This, together with Ron and Solo’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to feeding them healthfully, led them to creating Woofbowl.

The bright pink Woofbowl food truck, with Latto’s cute face as the logo, is part snack truck, part pet nutrition class, and part advocacy for dogs and humans. Ron and Solo support Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue and raise funds for Veterans Moving Forward through the sale of Woofbowl toys.

When Woofbowl isn’t cruising the DMV making dogs happy and healthy, they are cooking up healthy party fare. You can have Woofbowl cater your dog’s birthday party or, if you’re only having a few friends over to celebrate, you can order a birthday cake or cookies.
