ALEXANDRIA, VA — The City of Alexandria invites residents and visitors to celebrate history, music, and community during Sails on the Potomac, June 12–14 at Waterfront Park, 1A Prince Street. The three-day event commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and highlights Alexandria’s vital role in America’s founding era.

From the Fairfax Resolves to a thriving port community of merchants, artisans, and residents, Alexandria helped shape the early United States. This free, family-friendly event brings that history to life—culminating in a free fireworks show on Saturday, June 13 at 9 p.m.
