RiverRenew Stakeholder Advisory Meeting (SAG) Meeting – Wednesday, May 1

ALEXANDRIA, VA – In April 2018, Alexandria City Council voted to approve an agreement to transfer ownership of Alexandria’s four combined sewer outfalls to Alexandria Renew Enterprises (AlexRenew). The City continues to work in partnership with AlexRenew in the remediation of Alexandria’s combined sewer system and will periodically share project updates from AlexRenew with residents.

The public is invited to RiverRenew’s Stakeholder Advisory Group meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, from 7 to 9 p.m., at AlexRenew Enterprises, 6th Floor, EC 600 Semonian Board Room (1800 Limerick Street).

This meeting will be the third Stakeholder Advisory Group meeting for the RiverRenew Program. Established through Alexandria City Council Resolution No. 2850, the 13-member Stakeholder Advisory Group is comprised of a diverse group of citizens who will advise and monitor implementation of the Program.

RiverRenew is a major infrastructure program in response to a 2017 Virginia law to achieve cleaner, healthier waterways in Alexandria. AlexRenew, with support from the City of Alexandria, will lead the planning and construction of RiverRenew to ensure its implementation by 2025.
