Alexandria, VA – Vocelli Pizza is replacing nail salon at 1607 Commonwealth Ave. at Monroe. The expected opening date is December 11. Founder, Varol Ablak, originally from Türkiye, found his love for pizza in Biloxi, Mississippi. After teaming with his father and opening several restaurants in the South, the family business moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Per their website, ”The pizza recipes begin with a signature pizza sauce that is fresh-packed, never from concentrate. The tomatoes are rushed from the farm fields of California and canned within 6 hours after they are packed and preservatives are never used. The dough is made with the best spring wheat available and mixed with extra virgin olive oil. The 100% REAL mozzarella cheese contains no artificial flavors or preservatives. And all of Varol’s award-winning, artisan pizzas, are crafted from family recipes.”

With over 200 franchise around the country, Vocelli’s Pizza brings delicious pizzas with a choice of thin, traditional, Neapolitan, and cauliflower crusts. Some of the pizzas that are restaurant favorites include the Garlic Spinaci that is made with a white garlic sauce and fresh baby spinach plus red onions, fresh mushrooms, and tomatoes, and finish with feta, mozzarella, and Pecorino Romano cheeses. There are Stromboli, salads, subs, desserts, and more on the menu. Low-Carboli feature all of the yummy fillings of a Stromboli without the crust.
