Center for Alexandria’s Children 12th Annual Gala at Torpedo Factory Draws 250 Guests and Posthumously Honors Kerry Donley

Alexandria, VA – On Saturday, January 28, the Center for Alexandria’s Children threw their 12th Annual Gala at the Torpedo Factory in Old Town, drawing a crowd of 250 attendees to their first in-person party since 2020. Former Alexandria Mayor Kerry Donley was posthumously honored with their 2023 Champion for Children award. Donley’s wife Eva, and his five daughters, were there to accept it on his behalf. Daughter Kristen Donley has also recently joined the board of the CAC.

CAC is Alexandria’s primary resource for the prevention, investigation, and treatment of child abuse. Their programs, including Learn & Play Groups, aid more than 1,000 children and families every year.
