Store, located at 150 Stovall St., will celebrate its grand opening on May 11

ALEXANDRIA, VA – A new Wegmans grocery store located at 150 Stovall St. will celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, May 11. And there’s even more good news for people looking for jobs. The store will employ 450 people, meaning there are still openings for many part-time and some full-time jobs.

The 81,300 square-foot supermarket, still under construction as of this writing,  is in Carlyle Crossings near Eisenhower Ave.

“Hiring and training are well underway, and we’re looking for more enthusiastic candidates to round out our team before opening day,” said Manager Mike Anthony. “We’re thrilled to begin the countdown to May 11 when we can welcome the Alexandria community through our doors.”

Job seekers can apply in various departments such as sushi, pizza, prepared foods, deli and charcuterie, cheese, seafood. Stockers and cashiers are also needed.
